Summer Rocksbox

Hey There,

Here is what came in my @Rocksbox this month. I like that it came with a pink ribbon this time :)
Sharp 9 Cyrstal Collar Necklace $53 (Insider Price $42)

Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace in Iridescent Drusy $65 (Insider Price: $52)

Perry Street Emilia Earring $38 (Insider Price $30)

I decided to keep the Perry Street earrings, because they do not irritate my ears, and I really love the style.  I have also decided to keep the Kendra Scott Elisa Necklace, because I don't have anything like this.  I really like it because it is simple and beautiful. The crystal inside of the casing is really sparkly and glittery :)

Let me know what you think.

Give my coupon code a try (beautyshowoffxoxo).  If you use it you can receive a Rocksbox for free, where they are regularly $19.00 each.

Nivea In Shower Body Lotion

Greetings Show Off's,

I tried this lotion (Nivea In Shower Body Lotion) twice, and to make a long story short, I used it without adding any additional lotion after getting out of the shower, and my feet were very ashy after two hours, but my feet are always ashy. My husband is always joaning on me for that. No, other parts were really ashy, however, it is not the same result of when I apply my Nivea Essentially Enriched Body lotion. My skin feels really moisturized after I use the Essentially Enriched lotion and my feet do not get ashy.
How To Use:
(1) Use your normal shower product and rinse off.
(2) Apply In-Shower Body Lotion on wet skin while still in the shower. Avoid applying to the bottom of feet.
(3) Rinse Body
(4) Dry yourself, get dressed and go.
Next time I will try the Nivea In Shower Body Lotion for Very Dry Skin, because that is what I have (Clearly).  I'm just an ashy person. I still may need to add lotion to my feet even after using this (I'm pretty sure).

In an effort to bring a pop of color to this post, I added in my sour patch kids, because I was eating some as I was taking these pics.
I do think that these lotions are very convenient when you are in a rush in the morning, on your way to work.  Have you tried this? What do you think?

Thanks for Reading!!!

Julep June Maven Box

Greetings Show Off's,

So, when I received this Julep Maven box in the mail last week, the girls were standing right behind me as I opened and of course the two lollipops inside were really appealing to them. So, I had to hurry up and go and grab my camera and take pics so that they could hurry up and have them. SMH.  So, these pics may not be as good as I may have wanted :) I though that was cute though (that this box came with lollipops).

This seemed to be a Limited Edition box because inside was:
Lori (left) and Jacqueline (right)
and these are limited edition polishes.
Lori (Classic with a Twist) and Jacqueline (Classic with a Twist) are both apart of the month of "The Deep End Collection".
Details
from julep.com
Breakthrough Oxygen Technology powers this fast-drying, long-lasting nail polish to get nailshealthy and more beautiful at the same time. Our proprietary 5-free, vegan-friendly formula also includes strengthening Hexanal and antioxidant green coffee extract. You'll never look at nail polish the same way again.
Pro Tip
from julep.com
  1. Start with a base coat. This protects your nails from damage and staining, and creates a smooth base for your nail polish.
  2. Apply nail polish in thin layers, and give each coat time to dry before applying the next. This helps your color dry evenly and quickly.
  3. To extend the life of your manicure, start each layer by sealing your free edges. Lightly brush nail polish across the edge and under the tip of each nail.
  4. To make your nail polish pop, apply a layer of white polish between the base coat and color.
  5. Finish with a top coat to protect your nail polish against chips. Reapply every couple of days to keep your manicure looking fresh.

The Lori color is labeled as a Jelly polish which is described as Pressed marionberry jelly. It brushes on very sheer.

The Jacqueline color is described as a Bright grenadine shimmer.
(Please excuse the pen marking on my hand. The lady that did my pedicure yesterday randomly read my palm and told me that I was very kind/good, lucky, and will have too much money next year, lol)

The box also came with a Limited Edition lip gloss. This gloss is in the color Candy Apple.

from julep.com

Review
I love that this gloss and a metal applicator. I have never seen this before. I also love that it is not sticky like most glosses can be.  It goes on really smooth and feels really moisturizing. I don't have any liner on in this picture, however, I think this gloss would go great with some brown liner.

Offer
If you click below it will take to the place were you can sign up to receive a Free Welcome Box, and 2 months of Maven & Free Shipping for just $39.98. Plus save 20% each month.  This is great deal in my opinion if you love polish and beauty products.

Review: Elf Studio Prism Eyeshadow in Sunset

Greetings Show Off's

This e.l.f. Studio Prism Eyeshadow Sunset palette is something that I recently purchased from an order I placed on elfcosmetics.com, through an Ebates link. The day I placed the order, elf was also offering a tax day sale where customers received 30 percent off using the coupon code "taxday".

These shadows come in two other versions (Naked and Smoke). I want these as well.

Naked

Smoke
Details
from elfcosmetics.com
These ultra-silky and lustrous eyeshadows look like a powder but feel like a cream, allowing for a smooth and flawless application. Use to contour, line, and highlight for a radiant finish. The luminous, shimmery formula creates a gorgeous range of looks for both day and night.
Price
This prism eyeshadow palette is currently priced at $10.00, however, www.elfcosmetics.com is constantly offering coupon codes for awesome deals.  You can also go through Ebates and receive a percentage back from the cost of your entire order.
How To
from elfcosmetics.com
Apply dry all over the eyelid with a brush for a subtle wash of color or apply wet for a vibrant effect. Choose a light color to apply all over the eyelid as a base or to highlight. Next, apply a medium shade over the eyelid or in the crease to contour. Then apply the darkest shade to define and line the eye for depth and a smoky look. Mix and match for a custom blended look

Review & Rating
The Prism Eyeshadow in Sunset is the palette I currently own and have to admit that I am really happy with it. These palettes seem to be a lot more affordable than the foiled/metallic eyeshadows that are now all the rage on social media. This is definitely a dupe for me since I have not bitten the bullet and purchased any of the metallic shadows from companies like Makeup Geek, Color Pop, and Morphe. I would definitely give this palette a rating of 9 out of 10. I love the price, however, I wish that the formula of the shadows made them feel a little softer, like the LORAC Pro Palette shadows. I do not agree that these feel like cream.  However, a huge plus for me is that I do plan to use some of these shadows as a highlight on my face (top of cheek bones). A two for one :)

I also like how this comes a small sleek black casing with a mirror, so that I can just throw it in my purse and do my eyes at my desk at work if I want to :) I wish that it came with a eye brush rather than an eyeshadow applicator.
Let me know if you own this palette or if you plan to purchase it.

Review: Younique Moonstruck 3D Lashes Mascara

Disclaimer: I am not a Younique Presenter

Greetings Show Off's!
Today I will be reviewing the Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes. The Younique Independent Presenter:

Molly Jane Bertram
Update (6/9/2015) Molly is no longer a Younique Presenter. She now sells Tyra Cosmetics ( www.tyra.com/mollyb)

However, If you would like to purchase this product, please visit her friend's website at

was nice enough to send me the Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes mascara set.  These 3D Lashes are currently priced at $29.00. Molly also sent me the  Younique Blending Buds, however, I haven't tried them yet because they are too cute.  The blending buds are priced at $25.00.

The 3D Fiber Lashes come with a Transplanting Gel, (which is what you would apply first), along with the Natural Fibers (shorter packaging).

Natural Fibers Wand (above)
Transplant Gel Wand (below)
How To Apply
(1) Apply an even coat of Transplanting Gel to lashes.
(2) Immediately Apply Natural Fibers while Transplanting Gel is wet.
(3) Seal the fibers with Transplanting Gel. Repeat until you've reached desired fullness.

Ingredients
Transplanting Gel Ingredients: Water, Beeswax (Natural Propolis), Carnauba (Brazilian palm glue), Iron Oxide Cl 77499 (Black), Collagen, Acrylates Copolymer, Nylon, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol. .23 FL OZ / 7 ml

Natural Fibers Ingredients: 100% Natural Fibers taken from Green Tea. Net WT .02 OZ/ .5g.

Collagen is a type of protein that works with elastin to give skin its texture, structure, and appearance. It contains antioxidants, and may help add volume and shine to the appearance of eyelashes.
Water (Aqua) is the liquid of life! Hydrates and cleanses the skin, and works as a natural spreading component, helping to distribute other ingredients evenly over the skin.

Beeswax (Natural Propolis) is a brownish, resinous material collected by bees and believed to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Carnauba (Brazilian Palm Glue) is extracted and refined through a pressing and crushing process that turns the palm glue into an oil, creating the sticky nature of the transplanting gel. It is also believed to act as a natural preservative.

Iron Oxide Cl 77499 (Black) is a technical name for Black Iron Oxide. This naturally-occurring mineral acts a colorant, giving the gel its striking black color.

Acrylates Copolymer is an adhesive and binder, as well as a suspending agent.

Nylon is a powder substance that is used as an absorbent and thickening agent.

Stearic Acid (also known as Palmitic Acid) is an organic nutrient derived from palm trees that is often used to soothe and soften the skin.

Propylene Glycol is a humidifying and delivery ingredient.

Overall Impression and Rating
Overall, I would give this mascara a rating of 8/10.  I love that it actually increases the length of my lashes with the the Moonstruck Natural Fibers. I also think that the price of $29.00 is pretty reasonable based on the fact that you are receiving two different products that come in a really nice carrying case.  If I am being completely honest, there are two different things that I do not appreciate about this product and they are that:

(1) my lashes got really hard once the Transplant Gel dried, and

(2) the Natural Fibers fell off my lashes after a couple of hours on to my under eye area causing a sort of raccoon look.

I can brush the fibers off, but this is something that I do not necessarily have to worry about with my normal mascara.

Would I purchase this again? Possibly, If I can find a way for the Natural Fibers not to fall off. I do appreciate that this product does in fact make my lashes appear longer :)

Have you tried the Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes? If so, what do you think? If you would like to purchase the 3D fiber lash please visit www.youniqueproducts.com/jillianmariev

Greetings Show Off's!

Today I will be reviewing the elf Flawless Finish Foundation. It is only $6.00, which made me a little apprehensive about its effectiveness. This foundation comes in six different shades and I am in the darkest shade Coco.

HowTo Apply
via elfcosmetics.com
Apply with a foundation brush or sponge. Blend in completely for a silky and sheer effect, or blend in less for a fuller coverage that evens out the skin tone.

Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Octisalate 2%, Titanium Dioxide 5.5%; Inactive Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Isododecane, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Cyclomethicone, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Propylene Glycol, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, PEG/PPG-15/15 Dimethicone, Sorbitan Sesquiisostearate, Silica, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Talc, Synthetic Beeswax, Magnesium Sulfate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Boron Nitride, Magnesium Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, DMDM Hydantoin, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance (Parfum). May Contain: Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499)

Overall Impression and Rating
When I first tried this foundation a couple days ago, I initially fell in love. The coverage is awesome. I was also really impressed with that it comes with a pump and it is only $6.  Other higher end foundations do not come with a pump.  The consistency of this foundation is really thick where the foundation does get a stuck in the tubing of the pump, where it takes a lot of extra pumping to dispense, which is a little annoying. Overall, I would give this foundation an 8 out of 10 rating.  The coverage it provides is pretty good, however, it  doesn't last all day when it comes to covering my dark spots. I would definitely purchase this again, because you can't beat $6.
