Maybelline Lip Gloss Palette

Happy Tuesday!!!

I recently picked up this Maybelline Lip Gloss Palette from Rite Aide because it looks really pretty, right? The link I have is from Ulta, because it is only $11.99 there, and I think I purchased this for $12.99 from the Rite Aid, and I couldn't find this on their website.

The back of this palette states: "Eight irresistible gloss shades ranging from nude to wine"

I purchased this palette in order to test the pigment and the level of moisture that these glosses provide. I was really happy to see that it came with a lip brush, because you can't see the brush when it is closed. There is no mirror. Maybelline needs to improve on that with all of their palettes (in my opinion).

Burt's Bee's Facial Cleansing Towelettes

Hey There,

I know I haven't been posting a lot lately and just wanted to touch base with you all.

I am currently busy trying to get my life in order so that things will run more smoothly in my life. But any who, I just wanted to drop a quick line and let you know that the these Burt's Bees Cucumber & Sage Facial Cleansing towelettes, are the bomb.com.

When I opened up the pack around the twins, even they said that they smelled really good. I always go by their 5 year old opinions :)

Review: Velvet Liquid Lip Gloss Moisturizing Long Lasting Charming Lip Stick

They are basically long wearing liquid lipsticks that are similar to Color Pop, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Color Raine, etc. Except these only cost $3.59 (USD).

New Fav: Lip Combo

Hey There,

On Saturday I tried a pretty cute lip combo that I felt I should share with you all. The lip pencil I used was MAC's lip pencil in Half-Red and the lipstick is the e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in Ravishing Rose.

I know I need to sharpen my pencil :)

The lip pencil is a little darker than the lipstick. I lined my lips with the pencil and also filled them in. I then followed up with the lipstick (over the lip liner). The lipstick added some shine to the matte look the pencil gave.

This e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick is really nourishing to the lips. This is a really nice formula. I also like that the lipstick is a little transparent so that I can easily wear this to work and not look too dramatic (when worn alone).

Today I will be reviewing the elf Flawless Finish Foundation. It is only $6.00, which made me a little apprehensive about its effectiveness. This foundation comes in six different shades and I am in the darkest shade Coco.

Overall Impression and Rating

When I first tried this foundation a couple days ago, I initially fell in love. The coverage is awesome. I was also really impressed with that it comes with a pump and it is only $6. Other higher end foundations do not come with a pump. The consistency of this foundation is really thick where the foundation does get a stuck in the tubing of the pump, where it takes a lot of extra pumping to dispense, which is a little annoying. Overall, I would give this foundation an 8 out of 10 rating. The coverage it provides is pretty good, however, it doesn't last all day when it comes to covering my dark spots. I would definitely purchase this again, because you can't beat $6.
