New Fav: Lip Combo

Hey There, 

On Saturday I tried a pretty cute lip combo that I felt I should share with you all.  The lip pencil I used was MAC's lip pencil in Half-Red and the lipstick is the e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick in Ravishing Rose. 

I know I need to sharpen my pencil :) 

The lip pencil is a little darker than the lipstick. I lined my lips with the pencil and also filled them in. I then followed up with the lipstick (over the lip liner). The lipstick added some shine to the matte look the pencil gave. 

This e.l.f. Studio Moisturizing Lipstick is really nourishing to the lips.  This is a really nice formula.  I also like that the lipstick is a little transparent so that I can easily wear this to work and not look too dramatic (when worn alone).

#NOTD Julep - Brittany

Hey There,

Happy Thursday! 

Today I just wanted to pin point a popping color from www.julep.com (some shades are also available at Sephora).  

But I just have to say that this Julep Color Treat Nail Polish in the shade Brittany (Classic with a Twist) 

 I have received two compliments and couple of other second glances (which never happens) when I wear polish.

 My goal is to become a little better at painting my nails and take better care of my nail beds so that my nail shots can be a little more on point :) I'm working on it. 

But I used the Sephora brand Formula X System along with this Julep polish. 

This Brittany shade is described as a Bleached apricot ghost shimmer crème.

Let me know what you think. Do you have a similar nail color from a different brand?

This is a shade that I will probably use all year round.

Military Jackets

Hey There,

Military jackets are the perfect jackets for Fall. H&M sell the best most inexpensive military jackets out there (in my own opinion). I really would love to have them all. But I only need one :) I think I would go for either the one with the black sleeves or the lightest color one (closest to the bottom).

What do you think? Do you have any other favorite brands that make military jackets. I know that Lucky Brand makes some good ones as well, however the aren't as inexpensive.

Review: Colorescience On The Go Palette

Hey There, 

Long time no talk. Special thanks to the folks at Iderma for sending me this Colorescience Beauty on the Go Palette to review. It is supposedly for eyes, blush, and lips.  I'm not sure how to use these for my lips yet, but may try it out really soon. 

Beauty On The Go Palette : Original

As you can see below (swatched on my arm) these eyeshadows are not very pigmented, however, I like this about this palette, because sometimes I have no time to blend. I just need to place it on and  keep it moving. 

(Right to Left: Neutral Apricot, Champange Shimmer, Universal Blush, Sun Kissed Bronze, Coffee Shimmer) 

I really like the palette's sleek and sturdy structure. I can just throw it in my bag and go. The packaging snaps shut so that I don't have to worry about it opening up in my bag. I also love how the shadows can double as a blush. This is a great palette for a quick, neutral work look when you are in a rush. I can also be used for a night out look if you were to use more of the coffee shimmer shade on the entire lid. This palette also comes with a brush.
